Sally just got rejected for another Project Manager job.
She didn’t even get an interview… just a boring automated email!
She’s so disappointed and calls a girlfriend to meet for coffee and to vent.
Sally complains that she keeps applying for jobs online but no interviews.
Then she shares that she’s so burned out working all day and night in this virtual world.
Sally is also super overwhelmed because she’s also been so busy preparing for her daughter’s fifth-grade play as the Lead Volunteer.
She’s in charge of coordinating all the volunteers, sewing costumes, and now she needs to find someone to design the program!
Sally is exhausted and needs to find a new job with a better work/life balance but can’t catch a break.
The funny thing is if you were to look at Sally’s resume, she never mentions all the great project management and soft skills from her extensive volunteer work.
Hey ladies, don’t be like Sally.
It’s time to think outside the box.
BE BOLD about sharing your experiences outside of work on your resume and in interviews.
Let your resume reflect all of your experiences… in and outside of the office!
